Buy/Sell

Information and procedures for buying or selling property in Walker Lake (Palm Shores Unit #1).

Buying – When you purchase property in Walker lake, you become a member of the Walker Lake Homeowners Association. You assume all rights (use of common areas and lake) and responsibilities (payment of dues and assessments, adherence to published Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions) of association membership. Membership is mandatory, and follows your property when sold.

We highly recommend using a Title Company when purchasing property here (or anywhere). A Title Company will contact us during the process and make sure the property has a clear title, and is in good standing (all dues/assessments paid) with the Association. It is the seller’s responsibility to tell you that the property is serviced by a homeowners association, and a title company will provide you with documentation of our association at closing.

Bought property in Walker Lake? Awesome! Welcome! We are happy you are here! It is your responsibility as a home/property owner to provide good contact information for our records. We send dues invoices out once a year, and need your contact info current to avoid mail being returned undelivered. Use one of the methods in our Contact Us page to let us know your new details.

Selling – It is the seller’s responsibility to inform any potential buyer their property is serviced by a homeowners association. It is the seller’s responsibility to put their association account in good standing before transfer of title. Sellers and title companies should reach out to us at the following email for information about an account’s standing that might affect the sale: info@walkerlakehoa.com

Our Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions documents (and amendments) can be found on this website in the documents page (search the legal category). Please make sure the buyer gets a copy at closing, along with our contact information. We also respectfully request that you provide us with the buyer’s contact information (Names, mailing address, email address, and phone) in a closing confirmation.
